In a major achievement for the local Canadian culinary scene, The Pine, helmed by George Brown alumni Jeremy and Cassie Austin, has been awarded a prestigious Michelin star.

Phan Thi became known as “napalm girl” after she appeared in Nick Ut’s 1972 photograph “The Terror of War.” She visited George Brown for a book launch on September 20.

The Foundation has come a long way since its beginnings in 1984. It has so far raised an incredible $100 million to support student success and fund innovation and expansion at the college.
