George Brown Polytechnic has formalized a partnership with the Black Entrepreneurship Alliance through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) announced February 5, 2026, at the BEA's annual Demo Day.

George Brown Polytechnic officially opened its 2026 Black Futures Month programming on February 5 with the unveiling of the newly named William Peyton Hubbard Atrium at the Chef School.

George Brown Polytechnic and the Schulich Builders Scholarship program are helping create pathways to success for the next generation of skilled trades professionals.

Black Futures Month begins today at George Brown Polytechnic, marking a month of learning, gathering, and action that connects Black histories with present-day community and future-focused institutional commitments.

We'd like to welcome all students, faculty, and staff to the use of our Games Collections at the Casa Loma, St. James, and Waterfront Library Learning Commons. The games and puzzles can be used on campus, or signed out and taken home!

Hubbard’s connection to the Chef School reflects George Brown’s broader legacy of embedding equity, innovation, and public purpose into its academic and community spaces.

New partnership strengthens academic innovation, institutional efficiencies, student mobility, and industry engagement—while also reviving the Ontario Wine Awards through a shared hosting model.
