Websites

  • STU-VIEW: Where students register for courses, pay fees, apply for awards and transfer credits, and more.
  • Brightspace by D2L: Brightspace is the Learning Management System (LMS), where students can access their courses. 
  • MyGBC Student Portal: Where students access frequently updated news, events, and opportunities from and within the college.
  • LinkedIn Learning: Where students and staff can access thousands of online tutorials for free including audio, business, marketing, motion graphics, programming, and writing courses.
  • Gartner: GBC community members have a free subscription to access research, reports, and webinars on information technology and digital trends.

Apps

  • Microsoft 365: Students and staff have free access to this suite that includes all Microsoft apps, such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel, as well as one terabyte of cloud-based storage in OneDrive. A necessary download to access your George Brown email, virtual classes, coursework, and more.
  • AppsAnywhere: A free service that allows GBC community members to access software on demand, anytime and anywhere.
  • GBC app: Access college information, including class schedules and locations, student ID cards, and more.
  • Pulse: Students can access Brightspace notifications through the Pulse app, but not access courses.
  • Boost: Order ahead from your favourite food stations on campus and pick up on your own schedule.
