George Brown Polytechnic is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and other Indigenous peoples who have lived here over time. We are grateful to share this land as treaty people who learn, work and live in the community with each other.
Kick off your time at George Brown by joining us for on-campus Orientation!
At your Orientation, you'll:
- Meet faculty, staff, and peers who will be here to support you
- Take tours through George Brown campuses to get the lay of the land
- Understand how your program works and what you'll need to start
- Find out how to complete certain school admin tasks
- Discover student services that can help you every step of your journey
- Participate in giveaways and games
Orientation is where you can get all of your questions answered before school starts, so you won't want to miss it!
Need help? Find a Volunteer
Our friendly staff and student volunteers will be there to help you find where you need to go — look for anyone in a Volunteer shirt for any questions!
Check out the Service Fair
Make sure to visit the Service Fair to learn more about how to access the supports available to you at George Brown, such as financial assistance, athletics, counselling, tutoring, the Student Association, and much more. You'll also find fun giveaways and games there!
Campus Tours
Don't forget to go on a tour of your campus! You can even attend other Orientations if you want to take tours of the other campuses, too. You'll be glad to know the lay of the land before your first class!
How to register to attend
Select your academic faculty tab below, then follow the link to register for your specific program's orientation.
The date, time, and agenda will be shown on the event registration page.
In some programs, it will be specified on the registration page if the academic program portion is online or happening on the first day of class, but you're still invited to the on-campus events!
Not sure what program you're in? Check your invoice or STU-VIEW for the correct program code and name.
Only register for these events if you are a new student in the upcoming term.
If you require any accommodations, please indicate on your registration form, and email your name, student ID number, and accommodation request to orientation@georgebrown.ca.
