Prepare for operations roles in the wealth management field with the fully online Wealth Management – Financial Operations Management program.
Full Description
Prepare for a career or advance your current professional path in the wealth management field with the two-semester Wealth Management – Financial Operations Management (B190) certificate program. Online evening classes provide a convenient option for working professionals and students with weekday commitments.
Students will develop foundational knowledge of the Canadian wealth management sector, learn basic finance and market fundamentals and explore operations fundamentals and compliance foundations.
The Centre for Business developed this program in collaboration with industry partners to address the growing demand for wealth management operations professionals. It will prepare students for various roles that could include compliance support, financial operations specialist, operations administrator and operations business analyst.
Completing this certificate program does not provide an automatic pathway to earning a professional credential or certification from a professional body.

- Complete work according to professional regulations, provincial legislation and ethical standards required by the financial services industry and its regulators.
- Apply key concepts of a sound compliance program to recommend processes for addressing compliance issues and executing regulatory change.
- Use fundamental operational knowledge to develop procedures that will provide effective back office support to an investment firm.
