Create effective data visualizations and dashboards to bring to the HR leadership table, learn to use digital tools that support data-driven decision-making, and explore ethical and robust data governance and reporting.

Full Description

Capitalize on large amounts of data available to HR departments and turn it into actionable analysis and insight with the one-year People Analytics (B430) graduate certificate program. Designed for HR graduates and professionals, this program helps you develop the skills to effectively tell the story of employee data. Learn to create and communicate compelling narratives and business cases with data visualizations and dashboards. Explore trends impacting the greater workplace landscape and analytical techniques to inform your recruitment and retention strategies.

While analysis is key, so is ethical management and governance. Learn best practices to uphold privacy, security and confidentiality in data collection and management. Students also gain valuable real-world experience with a one-semester co-op work term.

The People Analytics program equips graduates to:

  • Develop a passion for technology, data, and translating data into business insights
  • Lead continuous improvement strategies and provide data governance through quality standards and controls
  • Manage data-driven support for operational practices and better user experience
  • Create key insights through building, managing and optimizing data dashboards and reports
  • Support, resolve, analyze, detect and correct system issues
  • Control risks in HRIS data systems

This postgraduate program addresses the current needs within the HR sector by providing students with the skills and knowledge to excel.
