The Autism and Behavioural Science (Postgraduate) program focuses on autism spectrum disorders and therapies, mainly applied behaviour analysis (ABA), with a primary application for children and adolescents. You will gain practical experience working with treatment teams.

The Behavioural Science Technician diploma program will teach you how to use Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to support meaningful changes in people's lives.

The Behavioural Science Technician (Accelerated) one-year intensive program will prepare you to use applied behaviour analysis (ABA) and behavioural intervention to work with a variety of populations, including those with developmental disabilities, acquired brain injury, gerontology and behavioural disorders. Apply to this accelerated stream if you have a bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field.

This program is eligible for an entrance scholarship.

The Honours Bachelor of Behaviour Analysis program combines philosophy, methodology and theory with a strong applied learning component to create a comprehensive understanding of behavioural psychology and, more specifically, applied behaviour analysis (ABA).

The American Sign Language and Deaf Studies certificate is a fully online, synchronous program, where students meet live with professors on Zoom. It is open to both Deaf and non-Deaf learners, with classes offered Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. This program will provide you with intensive training in American Sign Language (ASL) and English.

The Deafblind and Intervenor Studies program will prepare you to work with individuals who have combined vision and hearing loss. This is a hybrid program that includes online and in-person components.

This program is eligible for an entrance scholarship.

The Honours Bachelor of Interpretation (American Sign Language – English) program combines classroom theory, research, hands-on practice and professional field experience to prepare graduates to work as qualified interpreters.

George Brown's Bachelor of Early Childhood Education – Honours (Degree Completion) program will take your education and career to the next level in just two years. Apply to this program if you have an early childhood education diploma and want to develop the skills you need to work as a leader in the sector. This program is available as a part-time study option.

George Brown Polytechnic's Child Development Practitioner (CDP) program is designed for those already working in the field of Early Childhood who wish to pursue formal studies and receive certification as a Child Development Practitioner. As a CDP apprentice, you will be required to take 23 modules of in-school training on a part-time basis in the evenings. This training is currently being offered in a hybrid format - both in-person and online.

George Brown Polytechnic’s part-time Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma program will prepare you to work as a trained early childhood professional. In this part-time program, you will study in the evenings taking one to three courses per semester. Upon completion of this program, you will be eligible for entrance to Ontario’s College of Early Childhood Educators. This is a requirement for anyone wanting to work as an Early Childhood Educator in the province of Ontario.

The Early Childhood Education (Consecutive Diploma/Degree) (C118) program is a joint offering with Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). In just four years, you will earn both a Diploma from George Brown and Degree from TMU. Launch your career in early childhood education with both a diploma and a degree in just four years.

The Early Childhood Education (Fast-Track) program is for graduates with a diploma or degree in a related field. This fast-track stream will prepare you for a rewarding career working with children from six weeks to 12 years of age in a variety of early childhood education settings.

The Early Childhood Education (Consecutive Diploma/Degree) program will help you launch your early childhood education career with a diploma and a degree from George Brown Polytechnic in just four years.

George Brown's Early Childhood Education (Accelerated) program will prepare you for a rewarding career in a rapidly evolving sector. This condensed, 16-month version of our two-year diploma program will teach you to work with children from six weeks to 12 years of age in a variety of early childhood education settings.

George Brown Polytechnic's Early Childhood (EC) Management Certificate (Post-Diploma) is a certificate program designed to prepare supervisors and directors for their roles and responsibilities in childcare programs, family childcare, preschools, nursery schools, family drop-in centres, family literacy programs and early intervention services. This program will also prepare you for management and leadership in the integrated early childhood system that is emerging in Ontario.

The English for Academic Pathways at George Brown Polytechnic (R903) helps you build the English language proficiency needed for success in full-time post-secondary study in Canada.

This flexible program helps you meet the English language requirements for admission to George Brown Polytechnic's full-time certificate, diploma, advanced diploma, post-graduate and Bachelor’s degree programs.

George Brown’s English as a Second Language (ESL) (Part-Time) Certificate is an accelerated hybrid program to develop your English language skills for personal, professional and academic purposes. With eight levels catering to every skill level, from low beginner to advanced, you’ll find your perfect fit. Each level runs for six weeks and includes a mix of activities that will strengthen your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. You’ll also get to choose from an array of elective courses tailored to your unique needs, for a personalized learning experience.

George Brown Polytechnic’s English for Professional Success Certificate will give you the English language skills you need to succeed in Canada's highly competitive workplace. By polishing your verbal, listening and written communication skills, this part-time program will build your confidence in personal and professional interactions. If you’re a non-native speaker and have advanced-level English skills, this program is for you.

Please note: Classes are delivered in-person during evenings and weekends to accommodate working professionals.

George Brown Polytechnic’s English for Academic Purposes for International Students (EAP) (R115) will help you level up your English language skills as an international student. We’ll prepare you for your exciting journey into post-secondary study and future careers. Our EAP program will not only help you improve your English language skills but will help open doors to a vibrant student life that includes exciting co- and extracurricular events and workshops.

The two-year General Arts and Science diploma program will help you strengthen your academic skills and refine your goals for further post-secondary studies. Through our articulation agreements with several universities, you’ll be able to enter many degree programs with advanced standing. As part of this program, you’ll take a wide range of required courses in the arts, humanities, social sciences and sciences. You’ll also get to choose two liberal studies electives to broaden your thinking and analytical skills.

The General Arts and Science (One-Year) certificate program will help strengthen your skills for future academic study and entry into the workplace. Over two semesters, you’ll study a range of foundational subject areas that will help you build confidence as you develop critical thinking and information literacy skills. After graduation, you can apply to other post-secondary programs, including George Brown's R101 – a diploma program with several advanced standing pathways to a variety of university degree programs.

The Child and Youth Care program will prepare you to work effectively with children, adolescents and families who are experiencing social, emotional, developmental and behavioural challenges. The program integrates a holistic approach embedding an ecological perspective and principles of human rights, anti-oppressive practice, resiliency and restorative practice.

The Community Worker program prepares students to work for progressive social change with organizations, communities, and individuals across a range of issues such as poverty, housing, legal rights, discrimination, food justice, immigration and refugee settlement.

The Social Service Worker diploma program combines in-class learning with field experience to teach you the skills you need to succeed. You will study theoretical models and approaches to practice as you develop skills in group facilitation, mental health supports, social innovation and anti-oppressive practice. Please note that while the program is classroom-based, a few specific courses offer online sections to enhance access.

Graduates of this program are eligible to register with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).

Academic Upgrading (A751) is a tuition-free program designed to reduce barriers to accessing and succeeding in post-secondary education. If you're a mature student who hasn't completed grade 12 and wants to obtain a certificate, diploma, or degree, then this program is for you.

Through a personalized assessment, we'll identify your strengths and areas for growth. You'll then participate in targeted learning activities to enhance your skills, which may include reading, writing, math, and/or science. We also offer individual counselling supports, along with academic and career advising.

With multiple intakes throughout the year and options for full-time or part-time study, our program is tailored to accommodate your personal needs. You'll need to complete a reading and writing assessment to make sure the program is the right fit for you and that you receive the proper placement.

PLEASE NOTE: Applicants will have the choice between courses offered in-person and online, subject to availability. Registered students who are regularly attending the program may be eligible to receive a transportation subsidy, a netbook, and/or monthly Internet device.

The College Vocational one-year certificate program is for students who identify mild intellectual disability or neurodiversity as a barrier to being successful in the workplace. Our inclusive program will help you develop your skills in the areas of communication, teamwork, self-awareness, self-advocacy and give you the confidence to achieve your goals. Apply to this program if you have graduated from high school with an Ontario Secondary School Certificate (OSSC) or Diploma (OSSD) and workplace credits.

George Brown Polytechnic’s Culinary Skills (A110) is a free, supportive program designed to help those who face mental health or addiction challenges reach their education and employment goals. We'll prepare you for entry-level work in Toronto's food service industry through a combination of small-group learning, job coaching support, and experiential work opportunities.

George Brown Polytechnic’s Human Services Foundations (A113) is a two-semester program designed to kick-start your career journey. In a supportive learning environment, you will strengthen your academic skills and be ready for an entry-level role in human services or further education in a variety of human services-related diploma programs. You will study sociology and psychology and improve your communication and teamwork skills, while understanding how systemic issues affect individuals and communities. Together with classmates, you'll explore personal and professional goals and career pathway options for a successful career in human services.

George Brown Polytechnic’s Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees one-year certificate program paves the way for your success in advanced diploma and degree-level health science programs.

Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Certificates and Diplomas is a one-year program that will prepare you for admission to a variety of Health Sciences certificate and diploma programs, including our Practical Nursing (S121) program. You’ll take courses in biology, chemistry, applied math, communications, career readiness preparation and general electives. You’ll also benefit from the support of a pathway specialist who will help you navigate college and create a realistic action plan for the next steps in your education.
