Immerse yourself in the world of wireless connectivity through our Wireless Networking one-year graduate certificate program. Departing from traditional lectures, we prioritize hands-on learning in fully equipped labs, ensuring that you master the equipment you’ll use in your future career. Collaborating with corporate partners, you’ll engage in real-world projects, developing proposals, planning strategies and honing your teamwork skills for success in your future career.

Our program is designed to equip you with a diverse range of practical skills, from testing RF signals and conducting wireless site surveys to constructing complex computer networks. You’ll enhance your ability to optimize both wired and wireless network performance and develop expertise in the installation and upgrading of network hardware and software, all in accordance with industry best practices. Our cutting-edge labs encompass a wide array of technologies, including wireless, security, VoIP, RF, LTE 4G, and 5G, providing you with personalized hands-on experience.

As part of our commitment to your education, you’ll have access to NETLAB, which offers remote access to Cisco Academy and VMWare labs. Upon completion of the program, you’ll have the opportunity to seamlessly transition to our Cyber Security postgraduate program in the School of Computer Technology, further enhancing your knowledge and career prospects.

Note: Program improvements are being made continuously in this rapidly changing industry, which may result in course changes. Changes are made in consultation with our Program Advisory Committee, composed of academic staff and industry representatives from small-, medium- and large-sized corporations.

Please note: Students who start the program in January (winter term) will be required to attend classes during the summer months (May to August).

This program requires students to have access to a personal computer with the following specifications:

  • 8 GB minimum (16 GB RAM recommended
  • 256 GB SSD Hard Drive (500+ GB is optimal)
