“Each semester is full of different trades and new experiences. I have learned so much, not just in theory, but in practice too. It has been an unbelievably valuable experience. I love understanding the overlap the trades have with each other!” -Alicia Parrott-Barros, student in Construction Trades Techniques

George Brown is committed to excellence in teaching and providing you with several opportunities to apply your learning. As part of this commitment, we will work with you to identify the right path for you to become a workplace-ready graduate, and a candidate of choice for employers.

In addition to the necessary in-class learning, our apprenticeship programs at George Brown Polytechnic train students that are already employed. We encourage employers to consider hiring students in our programs that are an introduction to various trades. These programs offer a two week placement opportunity that will give you the chance to not only learn from a skilled professional, but opens the door for full-time employment and networking opportunities.
