Welcome drop by the Bookstore at Waterfront Campus.

Orinoco Odyssey is a multidisciplinary exhibition by Trinidadian artist and designer, and George Brown alumnus Jair Kale. Originally presented in January 2026, select works from the exhibition are now on view at George Brown Polytechnic's Waterfront Campus Bookstore from June 22nd to July 26th as part of its FIFA World Cup 2026 programming, in partnership with Pride House Toronto. It examines how the Orinoco River Delta and the Gulf of Paria shaped centuries of movement between Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago before the modern border existed. Using football as its conceptual framework, the exhibition brings together textiles, sporting objects, and mixed-media interventions to explore histories of migration, trade, endurance, and collective coordination through material culture.
