George Brown Polytechnic is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and other Indigenous peoples who have lived here over time. We are grateful to share this land as treaty people who learn, work and live in the community with each other.

Important training session for new members of the Volunteer Squad
Do you want to get involved with events at George Brown? Join the Student Life Volunteer Squad!
As a new volunteer, you must attend this Volunteerism 101 training session on October 6. If you are interested in volunteering at high-profile GBP events (Open House, Convocation, Orientation, etc.), improving your social life at school, and learning something new, then this session is important to attend.
In this session, you will:
- Better understand the Student Life Volunteer Squad program.
- Be introduced to the Code of Conduct and expectations.
- Learn about your rights and responsibilities.
- Learn how to sign up for volunteer shifts.
A reminder to please arrive on time and ready to go at the start of the meeting — we have lots to cover in this session. Those who arrive after 30 minutes of the start time will not receive the mandatory training requirements. Let's use this time wisely!
