Can domestic applicants submit foreign transcripts?

The domestic Admissions Office will accept foreign transcripts without an evaluation for most programs. The domestic Admissions Office will also accept transcript evaluations by ICAS or WES. The following programs still require a Canadian equivalency evaluation: S100, S101, S113, S121, S134, S318, and S442.

Transcripts in a foreign language will require an official translation from a certified translator organization. The Admissions Office has the right to request for the transcript to be sent directly from the educational institution.

The internal evaluation of international transcripts are strictly for the purposes of admission to George Brown Polytechnic. The applicant will not be receiving a comprehensive evaluation of the transcript.

Please contact Admissions Office (admissions@georgebrown.ca) if you have any questions on the submission of your international transcript or if you require assistance locating a certified translator organization.

If you are an international applicant, transcripts should be translated to English and submitted through the Online Application portal for international students. French language translations are also acceptable.

Please note: Applicants who wish to apply for transfer credit will still require a third party evaluation (ICAS/WES).
