Fall 2024 Orientation Volunteer Agenda

Main Content

Information for Orientation Week volunteers

Thank you for helping us welcome new and returning students, staff, faculty, and guests back to campus this semester! We can't do it without your help and greatly appreciate you sharing your time and effort to make it happen.

Below, you will find all the event info for the different components of Orientation Week.

Please ensure that when you are assisting our guests, you ask probing questions so you can give the right information. If you cannot answer their questions, please refer them to one of the volunteer leads or staff members on-site.

In case of emergency, if you are running late or cannot make your shift, please email Davor at dmamuzic@georgebrown.ca.

Volunteer Expectations

  • Volunteers must show up on time to all scheduled shifts.
  • You must always wear your volunteer shirt when volunteering.
  • You must have fun... lots of fun!

As a volunteer, you are not only representing yourself but also the college and our community. Share that energy and enthusiasm throughout the day with those you encounter! Small things make a big difference in the student's experience.

Please note that those who do not attend their shifts as scheduled will not be provided volunteer reference letters or volunteer hour credits, nor will they be invited to the volunteer appreciation party following the events. This is a team effort, so please be respectful of each other and our wider college community.
