George Brown Polytechnic is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and other Indigenous peoples who have lived here over time. We are grateful to share this land as treaty people who learn, work and live in the community with each other.
You do not register for an apprenticeship directly with George Brown Polytechnic. You first find an employer willing to train you and then contact the Government of Ontario Apprenticeship office nearest you and make the arrangements with a Ministry consultant.
If you are already a registered apprentice and have completed your required hours for the next level, contact your Ministry consultant so they can approve you and send out an Offer of Classroom Training. Once this is confirmed, you may pay and register with GBP as they will be informed of your pending attendance.
It is up to you to negotiate with the employer if they have a reimbursement policy regarding job-related courses, including training fees paid to GBP.
For more details and contact information, see the Ontario apprenticeship webpage.
