The George Brown College Foundation wants to ensure future frontline workers have the financial support they need to complete their education.

The foundation has launched a campaign to raise enough funds to create at least 40 scholarships ranging between $500 and $1,000 to support George Brown students studying in the fields of health care, construction and other frontline areas. To qualify, students must demonstrate dedication to their field of study, community involvement and financial need.

“Now more than ever, we see how critical frontline and essential workers are to communities and the economy,” said George Brown College Chancellor Emeritus Sally Horsfall Eaton. “As a former nurse myself, I know the value of a good education to frontline workers, medical and otherwise. Students heeding this calling should not be denied an education because of their finances.”
