George Brown Polytechnic is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and other Indigenous peoples who have lived here over time. We are grateful to share this land as treaty people who learn, work and live in the community with each other.

Join us for a powerful and thought-provoking screening of the award-winning documentary There’s Something in the Water, followed by an inspiring fireside chat with Dr. Ingrid Waldron, acclaimed author, advocate, and researcher. Based on Dr. Waldron’s groundbreaking book, the film exposes the realities of environmental racism in Canada, shining a light on how environmental pollution disproportionately affects Black and Indigenous communities.
Noon to 1:30 PM: Documentary Screening
1:30 PM to 3 PM: Fireside Chat with Dr. Waldron (George Brown Professor Natalie Wood will moderate the chat)
