Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I find my lock combination code?

You can view your locker location, lock combination and locker receipt via the LockerGM portal.

Log in to Stu-View, navigate to the Locker Rental card, and review your booking.

How do I open my locker?
  • Turn the dial right three times and stop at the first number.
  • Turn left, pass the first number once, and stop at the second number.
  • Turn right and stop at the third number.
  • Pull the lock open.
Can I use my own lock?

No. Lockers come equipped with George Brown-issued combination locks. Unauthorized locks will be removed.

What if there’s already a lock on my rented locker?

Please report it immediately. Unauthorized locks will be cut and removed, and the contents will be cleared without storage.

What happens to removed items?

If the locker was rented during the previous semester, removed items will be stored for 10 business days. Proof of ownership is required for retrieval.

After this period, items may be donated or discarded.

All email requests to retrieve belongings will be addressed, and students will have access to their items after Week 3 of the new semester.

If a locker was not rented and remains occupied, the contents may be discarded immediately.

Can I share a locker?

No. Lockers are assigned to one student only and cannot be shared under any circumstances.

What if my locker is damaged?

Report the issues immediately by emailing lockers@georgebrown.ca. Repairs or a locker reassignment will be arranged if necessary.

Can I choose my locker?

Yes. During the rental process in Stu-View, you can select from the lockers available to you. Locker availability is based on your academic program and campus location.

Can I change locker location?

Yes. To request a locker change, email lockers@georgebrown.ca with your student ID and locker number.

Please note:

  • Your current locker will become available immediately after switching.
  • Locker change requests are not processed until the tenth day of the term.
Can I keep my locker for another year?

Yes. The Locker Services team will send an email with renewal instructions.

To keep the same locker, renewal must be completed before the last day of the semester.

What if my locker is taken before I renew?

If your locker is not renewed before the deadline, it may be reassigned to another student.

In that case:

  • Your lock will be removed and replaced.

What if I can't get a locker?

Locker availability is limited and based on program allocations. If lockers are unavailable, please contact lockers@georgebrown.ca to inquire about possible availability in other programs or locations.

Can I get a refund?
