Accessing Campus – Contractors

Contractors are often hired by many of our divisions and departments to perform designated work at George Brown College, often working in the vicinity of students and employees.

To protect the health and safety of the George Brown community, we have COVID-19 protocols in place for contractors working at our campuses and other locations.

Who is a contractor? A contractor is a person or company that undertakes work for the college to perform a service or do a job. Contract services can span a wide range of duties. For example, a contractor could be hired to perform repairs or renovations, provide IT services, provide cleaning services or to take photographs for the college.

Vaccination policy

George Brown College’s vaccination policy states that all students, employees, contractors, and volunteers and visitors coming onto college premises are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

George Brown follows the Government of Ontario’s definition of full vaccination. A person is considered fully vaccinated if they have received:

  • The full series of a COVID-19 vaccine authorized by Health Canada, or any combination of such vaccines,
  • One or two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine not authorized by Health Canada, followed by one dose of a COVID-19 mRNA vaccine authorized by Health Canada, or,
  • Three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine not authorized by Health Canada; and
  • They received their final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days ago.

Four COVID-19 vaccines are currently authorized for use by Health Canada: AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, and Pfizer-BioNTech.

How to show proof of full vaccination
