George Brown Polytechnic is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and other Indigenous peoples who have lived here over time. We are grateful to share this land as treaty people who learn, work and live in the community with each other.
This workshop is designed for students who wish to learn and put into practice basic speech-making techniques that will develop both their confidence and skills in public speaking. Students will learn strategies for generating ideas, and for planning and delivering effective openings, transitions and closings. The importance of appropriate body language will also be addressed.
