George Brown Polytechnic is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and other Indigenous peoples who have lived here over time. We are grateful to share this land as treaty people who learn, work and live in the community with each other.
If you are passionate about early childhood education but don't think you have the time to attend a full-time program, consider a part-time program through the School of Early Childhood. Whether you are just starting out or are looking to build on your existing credentials, we offer a variety of programs to suit your busy schedule.

Our approach is based on three guiding principles
Block placement
Our experience has shown that the best way to build confidence and support our students as they develop their early childhood skills is through a block placement format – seven weeks in class followed by seven weeks in an early learning setting. This gradual but immersive approach, helps students apply what they've learned in the classroom to the early childhood education and care sector working with children and their families.
GTA Lab School Child Care Centres
George Brown is proud to own and operate 14 child care centres across the Greater Toronto Area. These centres model the best practices that we teach in our classrooms and provide top-notch training for our students as well as care for the children and families that we serve.
