Dr. Richard Almonte is a seasoned teacher, writer and researcher, with interests in business and corporate communication, academic writing, soft skills, and the impact of traditional narrative on all of these areas.

His bestselling textbook, Essentials of Business Communication (with Mary Ellen Guffey and Dana Loewy), is currently in its ninth Canadian edition. In addition he has recently published Read, Think, Write: Strategies for Effective Essay Writing. Dr. Almonte enjoys teaching a wide variety of courses at the diploma and degree levels.
