Why doesn’t my T2202 form match the amount that I paid for my course?

The total amount of tuition fees paid may not necessarily correspond to your T2202 because not all of your tuition fees are tax deductible.

Additionally, the T2202 is based on the tax year (January - December) and not the school year (September - April). For example, for the year 2025, the semesters included in the tax receipt are Winter 2025, Summer 2025, and Fall 2025. If you enrolled in Winter 2026, your tax receipt will be issued the following year.

Please see our Tuition Tax Receipts CRA Form T2202 FAQs for more information.
