George Brown Polytechnic is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and other Indigenous peoples who have lived here over time. We are grateful to share this land as treaty people who learn, work and live in the community with each other.
The George Brown Polytechnic Work Study Program provides students with part-time employment opportunities at George Brown. Students can gain valuable experience working up to 15 hours a week at minimum wage. Students locate their own job with any of the on-campus departments (for example: athletics, academic departments, library, etc.) and complete a Work Study Program application form with the employer which will then be submitted to the Financial Assistance Office by the employer. Many of the jobs are posted on the GBCareers website. Students can start work once their Work Study application is approved by the Financial Assistance Office.
For OSAP students: Students are legally required to report all income earned during the academic year from any source, Work Study Program or not, to the Financial Assistance Office. This may impact your OSAP funding, either during the current school year or in the future. Applications and information are available through the Financial Assistance Office.
Please note: International Students and Better Jobs Ontario Recipients are not eligible for funding under the Work Study Program.
For more information, see the Work Study website or contact the Fincancial Aid Office.
