Theatre: Training with the industry

Our Theatre Arts students train and perform at the Young Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto’s Distillery District — a space co-founded by George Brown Polytechnic and Soulpepper Theatre Company.

Because this facility functions as both a training ground and a fully operating theatre, our students work side-by-side industry professionals: directors, stage managers, designers (costume, set, lighting), and technicians.

Dance: a legacy of excellence with Jörgen Dance

Our dance programs are deeply rooted in a formal partnership with Jörgen Dance, one of Canada’s most respected dance organizations.

George Brown Dance students share studio space with Jörgen Dance company members. That means working dancers, choreographers, and artistic directors, like Bengt Jörgen, regularly teaching and creating alongside you.
