Hey there party people! Get ready to move and groove at the Afrobeats Dance Workshop brought to you by Student Life, Counselling, and BSSN. Join us on Wednesday,  February 19th at 1 p.m. at the Casa Loma Campus Dance Studio in the Athletic Centre at 160 Kendal Avenue for an afternoon of beginner-level dancing and fun!

Learn some killer dance moves, meet new friends, and sweat it out on the dance floor to the hottest Afrobeats tunes. No experience necessary, just bring your energy and enthusiasm! Trust us, you won't want to miss this event!

Your Instructor: Ambrose Tjark

Ambrose is a Nigerian born dance/performance artist and choreographer. A fashion stylist/designer, art enthusiast and community organizer. Ambrose is a founding member of Westsyde Lifestyle, a major propagator of the Afro Urban kulture.

He regularly shares his knowledge and vision of Naija street dance style specifically. His vigorous yet sublime movements originates from the Nigerian "Konto" and ‘shaku’ dance fusion- his key components are a mix of Hip pop, afro Caribbean, Afro; free movement, contemporary representation and afro oriented similarities, lyrical expression and unorthodox sound representation.

He also functioned as a curator, co-organizer, content creator, and performer for international festivals as a collaborator like GREG festival 2020, Oyofe Festival 2022 and has worked with UK artist SKEPTA, MAJOR LAZER, WIZKID, etc in co-choreography and culture influencing efforts.
