Today we are spotlighting Indigenous creator Falen Johnson, who is Mohawk and Tuscarora (Bear Clan) from Six Nations Grand River Territory. She is a writer and podcaster, notable graduate of the George Brown Theatre School, and a previous Coordinator of the Indigenous Performing Arts Alliance.

Today we are spotlighting Indigenous creator Douglas Cardinal, an an Officer of the Order of Canada architect who is recognized for his commitment to excellence and his unique creative vision. He is credited with creating an Indigenous style of Canadian architecture that gas challenged the most advanced engineering standards.

Today we are spotlighting Indigenous creator Katłıà (sounds like: CAT-Lee-ah), a Dene woman from Dënéndeh, Northwest Territories, whose northern roots and matrilineal lineage deeply inform her storytelling. She is the Co-Learning Manager of the RELAW program (Revitalizing Indigenous Law for Land, Air and Water) at West Coast Environmental Law in British Columbia.

Today we are spotlighting Indigenous creator Billy-Ray Belcourt, a writer and academic from the Driftpile Cree Nation in northwest Alberta. He is an Associate Professor in the School of Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia, and the author of six books.

By popular request, Course Reserves & Textbooks that are available in the Library Learning Commons self-serve kiosks have increased to 5-hour loans.

It's Pride Month, and the Library Learning Commons is highlighting resources that acknowledge and celebrate Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Pansexual, Transgender, Queer & Questioning, Intersex, Asexual & Aromantic, plus (2SLGBTQIA+) individuals and experiences!

Today we are spotlighting Indigenous creator Cherie Dimaline, an internationally bestselling author of award-winning novels. Cherie lives in her Georgian Bay Métis Community and writes and produces for the screen and stage.
