The TLX offers a wide range of services including Instructional Designers who provide faculty with support in the (re)design of their courses for the online environment, and our Faculty Facilitators who provide faculty with support to enhance their teaching and learning skills for the classroom.
The TLX supports excellence in teaching and learning, with a current focus on high quality distance learning by:
- Designing and delivering relevant faculty learning materials
- Directing faculty to current resources
- Engaging in group and individual consultations on course (re)design
- Providing 1:1 coaching
- Supporting partnerships and collaboration among faculty to support faculty to learn new tools and applications

Get the Standard Course Template
As professors work on their courses, it will be important to consider the student experience, particularly when it comes to course navigation. A optional generic Course Template has been devised by Instructional Designers, has an evidence-based design, and has been in use for over 15 years at the College with minor updates.
