The startGBC Work Integrated Learning Entrepreneurship Program might be the solution for you. The next cohort will begin on May 19, 2026. We have a 12-week program that begins with two 4-hour weekly workshop sessions for the first 6 weeks. For the following 6 weeks, you will be working on your business/social innovation idea in collaboration with students from across the college and engaging in one-on-one coaching.
In the workshop sessions, you will discover new topics to lay the foundations for bringing your business/social innovation idea to life. Outside of the workshop sessions, you will spend your time on self-guided learning as you investigate the weekly subject matters further and consider how you will apply it to your business idea. You will also work closely with the startGBC coach, who will spend one-on-one time with you to identify and challenge your assumptions on the problem and solution.
As a bonus, you may be able to apply this program experience toward your work-integrated learning credit. For more information about potentially obtaining credit for this experience or to express interest in participating in this program, please contact your co-op placement officer within your academic centre for enrolment.
