George Brown Polytechnic is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and other Indigenous peoples who have lived here over time. We are grateful to share this land as treaty people who learn, work and live in the community with each other.
As part of our commitment to motivate and empower more women to consider entrepreneurship as an alternative career path, startGBC is pleased to host a dedicated event for budding women entrepreneurs and social innovators.
Join us for an in-person event celebrating women entrepreneurs, networking, and skills-based workshops.
We start with a #WhyNotMe Alumni Entrepreneur panel with 3 amazing entrepreneurs willing to engage and share their personal journeys and knowledge to help you map your path. This will be followed by a networking break for you to connect with our mentor-advisor speakers. Then, to end our event, we will have a skills-building workshop to help you build confidence in negotiating skills and creating sales in male-dominated industries.
Look out for our confirmed event date, which will occur in October 2026
