The rise of big tech directly correlates with a decline in young people’s mental health. As we learn more about how developing minds are affected by these platforms, countries around the world are taking steps to limit screen time and social media access for children, but their approaches vary. Join us on October 20th for a conversation about making the digital landscape safer.

Toronto Star Ottawa bureau reporter Raisa Patel hosts a discussion with Baroness Beeban Kidron, a globally recognized champion for children's rights in the digital environment; Madame Diana Fox Carney, economist and climate policy expert; and Ava Smithing, host and producer of the Peabody Award-winning podcast "Left to Their Own Devices." Together, they explore what a safer digital world for the next generation looks like and how we get there.
