Applications are now open for the 2027 Queen’s Entrepreneurs’ Competition (QEC), an international startup competition that gives student entrepreneurs the opportunity to showcase their ventures, connect with investors and business leaders, and compete for funding and prizes.

Founders begin by submitting their business plan for review by a panel of judges. The top 15 startups will advance to the QEC Final Weekend in Toronto, where they will pitch their businesses in person. From there, six finalists will advance to the final round, with the top three pitches selected by a panel of judges.

For 38 years, QEC has connected emerging entrepreneurs from around the world with mentorship, networking opportunities and access to new sources of funding, helping early-stage founders take the next step in growing their ventures.

Application Deadline: October 18, 2026
QEC Final Weekend: January 8–9, 2027
Location: Toronto, Ontario

Undergraduate entrepreneurs with an innovative startup are encouraged to apply and take their business to the next level.
