George Brown Polytechnic is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and other Indigenous peoples who have lived here over time. We are grateful to share this land as treaty people who learn, work and live in the community with each other.
Brightspace testing labs are designated on-campus computer test facilities in the Assessment Centre, where students take digital exams or quizzes through the Brightspace learning management system.
These labs are used to ensure academic integrity and provide a controlled, proctored environment.
The Proctored Environment has on-site staff to monitor students, distribute test passwords, and prevent cheating. Computers in these labs are often locked down with secure testing browsers (Respondus LockDown Browser) so students cannot browse the internet, access notes, or open other applications.
