When and Where do I Take my Admission Assessment?
You will receive a letter with the admission assessment instructions from George Brown’s Registrar’s Office. You should book your appointment immediately after receiving your letter.
Give yourself some time to review and prepare for the assessment, as the results are important to your admission process.
Admissions Test Location
Most applicants will write their test in person at the St James Campus, located at 200 King Street E., in downtown Toronto, unless you have been given alternative instructions.

How do I book my assessment?
Booking Online: Domestic students can book an appointment on STU-VIEW. A 9-digit GBP student ID number and password are required to log in to your STU-VIEW account. If you do not have a GBP student ID number, you can call the Contact Centre at 416-415-2000.
Booking by Phone: Call the Contact Centre at 416-415-2000. Have your 9-digit GBP student ID number ready.

The Admission Assessment Test fee is $65

Please note that personal cheques are not accepted.
How do I take my assessment if I live far from George Brown Polytechnic?
If you are an applicant who is outside of the Greater Toronto Area and requires an Assessment, email assessmentcentre@georgebrown.ca.
What to Expect on the Day of Your Test
What do I need to bring?
Bring one piece of valid, government-issued photo ID to confirm your identity (original documents only), and a pen or pencil.
Acceptable forms of photo ID include the following:
- Driver's license
- Passport
- Permanent Resident card
- Canadian citizenship card
- Canadian identity card
- Certificate of Indian Status card
- George Brown Polytechnic student ID card
Before your test, review the Academic Integrity and Assessment Centre Guidelines, so you know what to expect on the day of your test.
How will I know my results?
You will not receive any results on the day that you take the assessment.
Once you complete your assessment, your scores will be submitted to the George Brown Polytechnic Admissions Office. They will review your results and will notify you if you are offered a place in the program(s) via STU-VIEW and by email.
Please note that your application cannot proceed until you have completed all parts of your Admission Assessment.
