Academic Integrity Guidelines

Main Content

The Assessment Centre is committed to ensuring all students – college applicants and actual students - complete their testing in an environment free of academic dishonesty. It is important that student test scores are a true and honest reflection of test takers’ abilities, and that all students are assessed fairly.

The Assessment Centre Academic Integrity Guidelines support the George Brown Polytechnic Academic Policies and Guidelines.

Tips for Learning with Integrity

Academic integrity is about setting yourself up for success. Start assignments early, keep track of your sources as you research, and don’t be afraid to ask for help if you’re stuck. Use study groups, tutoring services, instructor office hours, and campus learning supports that can strengthen your understanding and build confidence in your work.

When you learn the material yourself and give credit where it’s due, you’re developing skills that will support your success both in your studies and in your future career.
