George Brown Polytechnic is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and other Indigenous peoples who have lived here over time. We are grateful to share this land as treaty people who learn, work and live in the community with each other.

No registration, no obligation. Drop in any Thursday for ten minutes or the full four hours. Faculty, staff, and student researchers are all welcome.
Date: Every Thursday
Time: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Location: ORI Office, 8th Floor Limberlost
Working on a funding proposal? Publication pitch? Struggling to shape your research design, or staring at a blank page that obstinately refuses to fill itself? Come bring it to the table.
Every Thursday, the ORI becomes a dedicated time and space for research writing of all kinds, with a research facilitator on hand for in-the-moment feedback as you work. Talk through your strategy, sort out the nitty gritty application details, hand over a draft for a fresh set of eyes, or simply be in good company while you write. Whatever stage you’re at and whatever your needs, we’re here to support you. Come settle in at a computer station or plug in your laptop, then work however suits you best: in focused quiet alongside others or thinking out loud with someone who gets it.
