Awards and Scholarships, General InformationGeorge Brown College’s Awards program recognizes excellence and assists students with the costs of their education through non-repayable scholarships, awards, and bursaries. Select an item on the left to learn more about awards and scholarships!
Definitions!Scholarships: Primarily recognize and reward general academic excellence, although extracurricular activities, community involvement, and financial need may also be considered. Awards: Recognize specific academic achievements and/or other particular accomplishments. Bursaries: Primarily awarded based on financial need, although academic excellence, extracurricular activities, and community involvement may all be considered. Departmental awards are available to George Brown College students based on their program. College-Wide awards are not program specific, although they may differentiate eligibility based on other factors (ie. demographics). College-wide awards are available only to George Brown College students. External awards are available to students beyond George Brown College (ie., provincially or nationally), and are provided and administered through external government, corporate, or community organizations. Entrance awards reward accomplishments prior to commencing studies at George Brown College, and are normally allocated to tuition and related fees after acceptance of admission. In-Course awards reward achievements while studying at George Brown College. Important Information!
