Computer Programmer Analyst Program (T127) 2015 - 2016 Diploma Full Time

George Brown College is helping meet this demand by educating expert technicians who understand computer networks through its well-respected two-year Computer Systems Technician program. This program provides a broader background than most other college programs, including courses in the high-demand areas of server support and security that give you a valuable foundation, wherever your career path leads you.

Computer Systems Technology Program (T147) 2015 - 2016 Diploma Full Time

This three-year program is designed with extensive input from industry and offers two optional specializations in its third year. The Networking specialization focuses on network security, voice-over-IP (VoIP) and wireless LANs. The Systems specialization focuses on mail server administration, content management systems (Collaboration), database administration and computer security. Both specializations include core courses on infrastructure virtualization (through the VMWare IT Academy), along with best practices in IT.

In the Greater Toronto Area, developers and publishers of games range in size from small specialized units to a group of mid-sized companies, to Microsoft, Nintendo and other industry leaders. Computer programmers are the fundamental resource for companies that develop, produce, distribute and market computer-based games. In fact, our industry advisors tell us that it is the technical skills that are most in demand, a demand this George Brown program is focused on filling.

Courses in this program are offered online, plus some Fridays and Saturdays, allowing students to continue working during their studies. Health-care and information systems professionals currently employed or with experience in a health-care or technology environment, or who have an interest in the advancement of information technologies in the health-care delivery sector, will be interested in this program.

Courses in this program are offered online, plus some Friday and Saturdays, allowing students to continue working during their studies. Health-care and information systems professionals currently employed or with experience in a health-care or technology environment, or who have an interest in the advancement of information technologies in the health-care delivery sector, will be interested in this program.

Information Systems Business Analysis Program (Postgraduate) (T405) 2014 - 2015 Post Graduate Full Time

The rapid growth in the deployment of and enhancements to information technology solutions in business settings over the past ten years has thrust the Business Analyst/IT Strategist into an increasingly prominent role throughout many sectors, including government, finance, healthcare, and telecommunications. A crucial role in the software/system development life cycle, the Business Analyst gathers business requirements from various areas in the organization, and translates them into functional system design specifications that can be successfully executed by IT development teams. The role of the Business Analyst or IT Strategist is often critical to increasing project success rates.

Network and System Security Analysis Program (Postgraduate) (T413) 2014 - 2015 Post Graduate Full Time

The Network and System Security Analysis (NaSSA) graduate certificate program at George Brown College is being designed to meet the high demand for information system security analysts and related IT security professionals across multiple sectors – including high demand sectors such as Consulting Services, Finance, and Health Care. Students graduating from this program will enter into a specialized information and communication technology (ICT) field. They will have the capabilities to assess and evaluate security risks and threats to physical and digital infrastructure, develop and implement security contingency planning, and lead the development of policies and procedures to ensure that security risk is minimized. In their final (third) semester, students will engage with ICT consulting firms, networking support companies, and technology service support companies through a Capstone Industry Project course.
