Theatre Programs

Whether you dream of a career on stage and in front of the camera, or want to work behind the scenes crafting the scripts for various forms of media, George Brown Theatre programs offer training options for you.

Our three-year Theatre Arts Performance program explores a wide range of acting styles. Dance, movement, speech and voice training, stage combat, improvisation and audition technique are also key components of the program. In their final year, students work with professional directors, stage managers, designers and technicians to produce a season of shows performed at the Young Centre for the Performing Arts.

If you want to be an actor, but would like a better idea of what to expect, our one-year Introduction to Performing Arts Careers program may be for you.

And our three-semester postgraduate Screenwriting and Narrative Design program provides students with the training and experience needed to work as a writer in the ever-evolving media field. This program will guide you through the development of compelling content for video games, television, film and interactive media.
