Rex Employer Information

Bringing students, industry leaders and college together

Welcome to Rex - the Office of Recruitment, Externship and Career Support for the Centre for Hospitality & Culinary Arts at George Brown College! Our goal is to build strong relationships between industry, our faculty and college, and of course, our students.

Rex has created a community of industry partners, corporate supporters, dedicated instructors, students, and most important of all, a place where each of these groups can share ideas and open up doors of opportunity.

Our priority is simple: to work with industry partners to determine exactly what skills students need now - and in the future - then give them the very best training to acquire those high-demand skills.

And to do that, we need you.

Industry Connections

Whether acting as a guest speaker, or participating in a program advisory committee, we develop relationships with our industry partners that bring real-world experience to our students.

Taking on Externship Students

Our seven and 14- week unpaid externship programs provide unique benefits to our industry partners and diploma students. An externship student provides industry with an opportunity to explore potential future employees, and mentor young people as they enter this exciting industry.

Employer Job Posting

Looking for an enthusiastic, well-trained employee? Then post your position here and let a George Brown College student or graduate show you why our students are the first choice of industry's leading employers.

Co-op Diploma Apprenticeship Program

The Co-op Diploma Apprenticeship Program (C.O.D.A.) is a Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities initiative to promote interest and growth in the trades.
