Work Experience Education

Business Students at the Workplace

What is a Work Experience Term?

Students spend at least one four-month term working full-time in a co-op or internship role related to their program of study. Advanced Diploma students do two work terms (or one 2-semester work term); Degree and Graduate Certificate students complete one work term.
A co-op or internship is intended to give students a chance to apply the knowledge they have gained in the program in a real-life, hands-on situation, giving them practical experience and further developing their skills. Students in turn gain important work experience and establish contacts with potential employers.
