Before coming to Canada, the only thing I knew about itwas the Maple Leafs, and maple syrup. But since joining George Brown College,my life completely changed,  and it's not only about the college,I've got new friends - new life here. And I'm really happy now.[Harpreet Singh]It has been a dream since long timeto studyin a multicultural environment. There are many students -students from Russia, students from Iran, students from Columbia, and that really backed upmy decision to come to Canada -to come to George Brown Collegefor study.   [Sniazhana]My name is Sniazhana Lukyanava.[Harpreet]My name is Harpreet Singh.[Sniazhana] And we both went to George Brown College in 2010for Information SystemsBusiness Analyst Program. We both come from Information Systems backgrounds and we had a lot of experience in it,but we both needed, and I thinkHarpreet will agree with me, formal training.[Harpreet] Which really helped usto gain more confidence to deal with the clientsand to do our daily activities.[Sniazhana] The best thing I likedabout George Brown College programis that they blend the theory and practice  in a perfect way.We had a very good theoretical foundation, and then we had a lot of case studies...[Harpreet] in which we appliedthe business analyst skillsgained through the theoretical knowledge, and, uh, that really helped us to excel in the field of business analysis.[Sniazhana] One of the best things that I carried out from George Brown Collegeis the presentation skill. I was really shy by nature, and, uh, George Brown College professorshelped me to overcome this.  [Harpreet] In addition to this, George Brown really taught us how to conduct brainstorming sessions,uh, and currently in my project, I'm using that skill to facilitate work in which I can elicit more requirements from the client. The most important part of the programis to get into the internships, which, which will help to enter the Canadian industry. [Sniazhana] It just happenedthat we both did the same internshipat Porter Airlines, where wewere doing business analysis, and it was a great experiencefor us to apply  everything we were taughtin real life. If I were to give a piece of advice tosomeone who's going to join this program,I would say that, be prepared not only to learn about the tools  that should be used in business analysis, but try to develop your personalityas much as is possible, because this job is as much about the communication  as about the technology.[Harpreet] The program really nurtured my skills, which were there already,  but they really nurturedthose skills very well. And I'm really glad that I took that decision to come to George Brown College.
