About the Series
The Women @ GBC series aims to celebrate the women in our college community and explore the role everyone plays in promoting equity for women. Every year, the series can include a range of events, including coffee breaks, panels, fireside chats, digital engagement and more. And most importantly, these events will provide space for open and honest conversations about the barriers women continue to face.
George Brown College values the unique perspectives that all women bring to our institution, and we are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all employees. We must take meaningful steps to support gender equity and include the experiences and voices of all individuals, including Black, Indigenous and racialized women and people with disabilities, while recognizing the lived experiences of trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming people.
Cultivating a foundation of equity and providing equity-informed student services, support, spaces, and experiences are among George Brown's strategic priorities. Learn more about the Roadmap to the Future: Vision 2030/Strategy 2026.
