George Brown College and Toronto Public Library Announce New Partnership

George Brown College and Toronto Public Library will work together to create enhanced learning opportunities for Torontonians.

TORONTO - George Brown College (GBC) and Toronto Public Library (TPL) have taken an important step in forging a new kind of partnership that will benefit students, library customers and all Torontonians.

The organizations have signed a memorandum of understanding that lays the groundwork to create more access to enhanced learning opportunities. This working relationship will allow GBC and TPL to exchange expertise and develop collaborative programming. GBC is the first college to sign this type of agreement with TPL.

“George Brown College and Toronto Public Library are both city builders committed to creating lifelong learning opportunities,” said Rick Huijbregts, Vice-President, Strategy and Innovation, George Brown College. “This partnership is a great opportunity for our two institutions to learn from each other, collaborate and share our resources to better serve our students and the city of Toronto.”

This partnership is still in the early stages, and both organizations will share exciting developments as they emerge.

“Our partnership with George Brown College means Torontonians will have more access to relevant, exciting lifelong learning opportunities. We’re looking forward to collaborating with GBC and sharing developments with library customers and all Torontonians,” said Vickery Bowles, City Librarian, Toronto Public Library.
