Photographers invited to submit to George Brown's 50x50 contest

George Brown College is inviting Toronto photographers to help us celebrate our 50th anniversary by submitting work for a Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival Open New Browser Window exhibition featuring our alumni.

The 50x50 exhibition will celebrate our history and the changing face of Toronto over the past five decades. It will feature photographs of George Brown graduates from the first years of the college up to today whose experience at college had a significant impact on their life.

We're calling on local photographers to submit their portfolios for consideration by September 29. If you're one of the 50 photographers chosen, you'll take a portrait of one of our alumni. The photos will be part of the 50x50 exhibition for the CONTACT festival to be showcased at Waterfront Campus in May 2018. You'll also have the chance to win up to $2,500 in cash and prizes (photography products and services).

How to submit

Professional photographers and post-secondary photographers must be living in Ontario to be eligible. Photographers must submit the following:

  • 4-6 portfolio images
  • Resume
  • OPTIONAL - Artist statement outlining your interest in the project
