George Brown participating in NewCo Toronto festival

George Brown College is among dozens of innovative companies and organizations featured at the NewCo Toronto Open New Browser Window festival happening Sept. 14, 2017.

The NewCo Toronto festival provides an inside look at some of the city’s best-known companies, including Airbnb, Ritual, Google Canada and Wattpad. NewCo Toronto attendees build individual "passports" based on the sessions they attend.

Marketing and Digital Media Professor Blair Smith Open New Browser Window will lead the George Brown session entitled “120 Characters of Differentiation: How to Make Your Personal Brand Click”. He’ll discuss personal branding and how he brings the college’s Path to Leadership vision to life at the Centre for Business with classes fueled by a commitment to excellence in teaching, applied learning and innovation. The George Brown session starts at 2:45 p.m. at St. James Campus, 200 King St. E.

YouTube Space Toronto, which opened in April 2016 at George Brown’s School of Design, is also a stop in the NewCo Toronto Festival.
