Nearly a month after our smoke-free policy took effect, a Canadian Cancer Society report confirmed that George Brown is the first college in Ontario to go 100 per cent smoke-free.
The Canadian Cancer Society released a report on smoke-free campuses in Canada, breaking down the results by province. There are currently 65 smoke-free campuses in Canada, including four in Ontario — us, McMaster University, Redeemer University College
and Western University.

George Brown’s 100 per cent smoke-free policy took effect on August 20, 2018. Smoking or vaping tobacco or cannabis substances is prohibited at all campus locations.
