The GO-VAXX COVID-19 mobile vaccine clinics return to George Brown College September 15 and 16, providing a great opportunity for students and employees to get their first or second shot.

George Brown was the first post-secondary institution to host a GO-VAXX clinic and it was so successful we’re running it again — 131 people were vaccinated at our campuses in August.

The GO-VAXX bus visits George Brown this month at the following times and locations:

Wednesday, September 15

  • 8 a.m. to noon at St. James Campus, 200 King St. E., and
  • 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Waterfront Campus, 51 Dockside Dr.

Thursday, September 16

  • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Casa Loma Campus, 160 Kendal Ave.

The GO-VAXX clinics will be held in buses parked outside college buildings, and nurses will be administering first or second doses of the Pfizer vaccine. Students, employees and members of the public can drop by at their convenience, appointments are not necessary.

“We all play a role in ensuring that our communities, on campus and beyond, stay healthy and safe,” said Chris McGrath, Vice President, Student Success, George Brown College. “Getting vaccinated is an important choice that you can make to help protect your health and the health of those around you. For many students this is a significant choice, and we encourage you to reach out to Counselling and Student Well-being for support.”

Enhanced safety measures for the fall semester

The mobile vaccination effort is among many enhanced health measures we’ve put in place to ensure our campuses are as safe as possible for the Fall 2021 semester. Visit the Health and Safety on Campus and Vaccine Information pages to learn more.
