Remote Access to LLC Computers (Casa Loma and St. James)

If your personal computer does not have the capacity to support the software you need, the library offers remote access to computers and software applications in the Casa Loma and St. James libraries. The list of software on each computer is in the Start menu. You may also view a comprehensive list of library software by campus ahead of time.

For Windows users:

  1. Get permission to access VPN and LabStats from your professor
  2. Log on to VPN 3. Follow this link: https://remoteaccess.labstats.com/george-brown-college-llc
  3. Select a computer from the library where the software is located (CL or SJ)
  4. Download the required .rdp file to your computer
  5. Log in as usual when signing on to LLC computers

For Mac users:

  1. Get permission to access VPN and LabStats from your professor
  2. Log on to VPN 3. Follow this link: https://remoteaccess.labstats.com/george-brown-college-llc
  3. Then, Continue; the AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client Download page displays
  4. Use Run to install the VPN client; a welcome message displays in the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client Setup; hit Next
  5. Select a computer from library where the software is located (CL or SJ)
  6. Download the required .rdp file to your computer
  7. Open Microsoft remote access and click on the gear
  8. Select “import from RDP file...”
  9. Click on Saved PCs and log in as usual when signing on to LLC computers

Please make sure to save all documents to your Microsoft OneDrive or the information will be lost when you log out.
