Mohamed, a recent Aug. Ed. graduate, chose to volunteer at Food Court Social Distancing, to give back to the program that changed his life. Mohamed shared his thoughts on Aug. Ed. and what it has meant to his life. He said:
The Augmented Education program helped me recognize my skills and potential for growth. The soft and hard skills I gained through this program have led to positive change in my life. I now have a part-time job that I enjoy and I am pursuing post-secondary education so that I can continue to improve my life. I am forever grateful to the Augmented Education program for helping me change my life.
Aug. Ed. will benefit from 100% of the net proceeds from Food Court Social Distancing. Aug. Ed., in partnership with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), is an innovative, tuition-free program helping persons with a history of mental illness or addiction overcome barriers to education and training, and helps them prepare for, find and maintain employment.
