Biography

Tom brings a diverse background to teaching having taught and worked in the disciplines of Construction Management and Construction Business Management, Architecture, Carpentry and Brick and Stone Masonry. As a dual professional, Tom works closely with industry having worked with companies such as Mattamy Homes, EllisDon Construction and projects such as the Ottawa Light Rail Transit P3 project assisting them in the development and delivery of their in-house project management and scheduling courses.

Tom has written or is working on several textbooks including Understanding Construction Drawings for Housing and Small Buildings, Project Management / Planning, Scheduling and Controlling Construction Projects. Tom currently represents George Brown College as an associate member for the Professional Development Committee of the Canadian Home Builders Association. He also teaches Project Management to professional organizations such as The Construction Institute of Canada, Ontario General Contractors Association Gold Seal Courses and taught Building Science courses at University of Toronto and Ryerson University.

Tom created and developed the Building Renovation programs that are offered at George Brown College.
